A beer that is as strong a wine is a little intimidating – but hey it is the “Lord Smog Almighty” after all. Royalty can’t come in small measures.

Beavertown are making exciting beers. Mixing flavours that you might not think would work but do, and they do it bloody well I might add.

This beer is literally what it says on the tin. Smokey, charcoal meatiness, nothing like I’ve had before. A subtle lingering bitterness nicely balances out those smoke flavours. For something that is 11% you can taste the alcohol but not in a bad way. It is not overly boozy.

It’s a beer that you probably have one of in a session, maybe on a cold winters night. It gets the blood flowing, the taste buds jumping and the heart racing.
