Planting roots

Excuse the planting roots pun but here is an update we’ve been wanting to write for half a year. After months of discussions, compromises and a boat load of support from the community; we are incredibly excited to announce THE DOUGLAS FIR WILL BE RE-OPENING! We can’t thank all of you enough. The letters, petitions and social media comments kept us pushing through. We can’t wait to get the doors open.

So what now? Whilst waiting for the official paperwork, we have plans to take the bar’s look from pop up to permanent. Once we have soundproofed and laid the new floor, we will install new lines, seating and give The Douglas the spruce up it needs.

This is going to take a little bit more time but we will keep you up to date. We will be having a wee celebration at our Yard party this weekend and definitely another launch party at The Douglas Fir when it opens.
