New Beer, New Brew!

New Beer, New Brew! image

You’ve probably picked up on our not so subtle hints that over the new year we have begun our expansion plan. The big plan is to brew more beer! We have ideas for small batches for our tap room and bar to one offs and additions to our core range.

There is a beautiful freedom that comes with expanding. We have started looking at new and refined possibilities of our brewing. What can we change? How can we improve? What new recipes can we now make?

We have a pilot kit on the way. This is huge (not literally, the kit is lovely and compact) – The pilot kit allows us to do so much. We will be putting our batches through testing, to help maintain consistency, trial new brewing methods and overall improving our beers. Another exciting thing this will allow us to do, is to make small batch beers for our tap room and bar. We will try some experimental styles and hopefully take a peak into Simon’s little black recipe book. Our first batch could be a lot closer than you think.

Alongside the pilot kit our new fermenters are going to let us produce more beer. We will still be able to keep up with demand for our core range, but its give us the opportunity to go big on one off beers.

And with this we will be launching our “Experimental”. You want to see a 7% peach IPA – we could maybe do that. These beers are going to vary in style and strength. No conforming with our core range. The two ranges will run side by side; the core still focusing on those big flavoured, sessionable beers and the “Experimental Series” really finding itself in its uniqueness.

More to come!
